1. Identify the shape of your futon mattress - it should be a rectangular box, not attached or built-in with the futon frame.
2. Measure the thickness of the futon mattress.
3. Measure the width of the futon mattress.
4. Measure the length of the futon mattress, which is the longest side from end to end.
